Beneath the Surface: “Psychopath” is such a strong word; he prefers “mono-emotional.” Unburdened with such useless feelings as compassion and love, he’s able to get a lot done for the organization when the job calls for getting one’s hands dirty.

Sadly, or rather frighteningly, there really are people like Julian in the world. They start as young children hurting others and animals and show little emotion, understanding, or care about the harm they do to others. It often seems they aren’t even deriving pleasure from their acts. It is just something to do. For an organization that plans to eliminate any competition or instigate a take over these psychopaths are the perfect tools to have at your disposal. To have someone like this after you or yours would be unbelievably frightening.
Unfortunately, yes. I just finished watching the series Westworld with my husband, and I was like, “Why would you build an entire world specifically to cater to rich, violent sociopaths who think a fun vacation is raping and murdering people who can’t fight back? How many people are there in the world, really, who fit Westworld’s target demographic?” Then he said something about “Trump’s America,” and I was like, “SHUT UP.”
What kind of odd jobs does he do?
Mostly stuff like killing people who get in Northwalk’s way, getting rid of bodies, being extra mean to Stacey (they have an interesting connection), that sort of thing.
